Colorado Custom Fire Pits has been in business since 2016. At the time I had been pursuing more personal artistic endeavors and had a small welding shop in a garage. I built a steel log set for my parents, who were putting a fire pit in their backyard and when their landscape designer saw it he had to have one. From there I did a few more, mostly word of mouth. I was in graduate school at the time. After graduation while I was working in the field of my studies, I started to understand the benefits that these steel log sets can bring to a home or business and I decided to take the leap and go full time with Colorado Custom Fire Pits. Since that time the business has grown organically and we have made it a point to continue to take pride in all the little details that make our steel log sets the most authentic looking steel logs available and where quality is never shortcut. We know our customers are our most valuable asset and we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service and high quality American made handcrafted products.
Because Colorado Custom Fire Pits specializes in the fun and challenging task of recreating nature out of steel, we find delight and new opportunities in an ongoing process of coming up with new ideas and details to include in our steel log sets. It’s ambitious and rewarding to attempt to recreate the beauty that is nature and provide that product to folks all throughout North America to enjoy. Simply put, we love what we do and we love getting to know our customers through the process.

This means that our business is directly supporting the wellbeing of the planet, the people on it while maintaining a profitable business to ensure we can keep creating beautiful work to help people enjoy their lives around.
With every order placed, the customer is given the opportunity to choose from 3 environmental nonprofits. These range from local, to state, to national programs. A percentage of every order will be donated to customers' choice of non-profit which will help protect and preserve our natural resources.
We run our welding shop 95% off Solar Power after receiving a generous grant from the USDA. This is basically unheard of for any welding shop.
We partner with local high schools and nonprofits to provide internships and educational courses in metal arts to local high school aged students. We typically have anywhere between 1-3 high school interns throughout any time of the year where we are able to provide and teach life skills as well as metal working techniques. We have found this to be a great way to empower youth by giving them real life experience in the workforce as well as providing them with skills to create art or pursue careers in welding and entrepreneurship. Our interns are able to receive school credit for their internships as well. We often are able to hire our interns at the end of their internship for summer jobs which is a win-win situation. It’s a beautiful program and great way for Colorado Custom Fire Pits to give back to the community. We partner with the local schools to offer ongoing internships to young aspiring artists and welders empowering them with practical skills and experiential hands on job training and life skills. This empowers many young boys and girls beyond what may be offered in traditional school settings. We also hold several metal art welding classes offered to the community through various local nonprofits aimed to teach and inspire people of all ages how to create works of art using simple metalworking and welding skills.

The San Miguel Conservation Foundation - The San Miguel Conservation Foundation is a local land trust based in Telluride, Colorado. Created in 1993 to help protect the special natural and land-based resources in the Telluride Region and San Miguel County, SMCF has partnered with landowners and other public and private organizations in the preservation of over 8,000 acres of open land in the County.
Conservation Colorado - We work to protect Colorado’s climate, air, land, water, and communities through organizing, advocacy, and elections. Protecting our environment means preserving what we love about Colorado. Our stunning mountains, open vistas, and rushing rivers inspire us and connect us to the majesty of nature. Unfortunately, our amazing state faces grave threats.
